Check Engine light

So me and my dad replaced the plugs and plug wires on my 93 f250 5.8, we didnt have really any problems. But as we got to drivin it, after about 5 minutes of letting it warm up, and drivin for 2 minutes the check engine light turned on. So we stop make sure everything appeared to be alright, and it did. turn her on and no light, drive for 5 minutes and there she goes again. does anyone know what this might be?

Well if I were to guess I would say you had an EGR error. This does not mean that there is any thing wrong with the EGR valve itself just the EGR system.

But you need to run the EEC Self-Test and see if there are any codes in the CM and any from the KOEO test.
If you do not know how to do this go to:
Ford Fuel Injection How To Run a Self-Test
