I just got my truck back from the dealer. Yep, the age old prob. with the 6.0 the head gaskets. I paid $659.00 for ARP stud so I wouldn't have this problem again. I have no idea if the dealer even put them in cause I wasn't there to see them go in. However, I have noticed that the engine run a little smoother and more quit than it ever has.
My questions are pointed more to techs and truck owners that have already had this done.
1. What are some of thing I need to look out for after H.G. & Stud replacemen? For example: hoses, vaccum lines, turbo tubes..*****.
2. After work was completed was there a strong smell of raw diesel in the cab for more than 4 days?
3. Did anyone noticed any lose of turbo bust or turbo gauge reading 0psi after letting off the A.paddle?
My truck was not doing any of the things in #2 or #3 question before I took to the dealer!
If anyone that has gone through this before; your input will be most helpful. TECH's are welcome to chim as well.
