did you ever find an 1 1/2 - 16 thread oil filter sandwich to run your lines for your aux cool oldbird?
i just started looking for one (the idi uses the same oil filter thread size) and was hoping to get picky with 1/2" an fittings,thermostatically controlled and a port built in for a temp sending unit to boot,but i don't even a see a basic one.
did you end up having to use a filter relocation adapter instead?
i see perma cool 2840 at least for doing it this way,but like you,i don't really have a need nor desire to relocate the filter. http://shop.perma-cool.com/2840-Spin...hread-2840.htm
funny part about this is,that with the limited aftermarket for the idi,i thought id be having a field day with choices coming out my ars since i could source it for the much more aftermarket loved psd........so much for that! lol.
I never did find a sandwich adapter so I used what you have in your link. I'm like you, I thought there would be a lot of them out there. Let me know if you ever find one.
ahh pull my hair out!
so oldbird,the other thing is,not only can't we find a simple sandwich type and be done with the hassles and only the perma cool 2840 remote line adapter style,but they don't make a freaking aux/remote mount oil filter head so we can keep the same large size psd oil filters either!
what a kick in the pants two fold!
i just ordered this one which has the oem threads 1.5-16 but the oil filter base as a whole is far,far,far to small to seal up to the o-ring to base of the mount.it's just like for some hydraulic system of some sort i guess. http://www.strickequipment.com/catal...hop%20cart.htm
36-1.00N1.5-16
what did you end up going with,that's holding your fram?
im in total disbelieve of the lack of aux oil cooler support for a 7.3l psd.im floored.
oh.i wonder if i should of tried the 400 series 36-1.0N1.5-16AD instead.hmmm. 400 Series shop cart
edit;
well i found one.at 143.95 + shipping it's not exactly making me smile! but at least i found one.i really want to keep running the fl1995 size filter (i run the larger mobil1 m1-601.) if nothing else comes up,i'll grin and bear it if i have too,but that price really sucks. http://www.hylube.com/products/rfhadapter.htm
I have one of the hylube ones. It's a work of art.
I also have an old permacool one that has the correct threads. Other than the strick equipment site, I could not find a filter head with correct threads.
Did either of you guys call fleetguard or wix to see if they had something.
