High rev at idle

Hey everyone, sen a lot of posts that mention it, but nothing that indicates a fix. I have a 00' f250 with a 6.8 v10, 100k miles on it. Yesterday I went out to start the truck (around 32 degrees, REALLY foggy) and it hesitated while starting. After I finally got it started, it won't rev below 2k rpm. If I step on the gas it goes up to 3k rpm and slowly comes back to 2k rpm. Even after it's warmed up it stays at 2k rpm. Even pulls against the brakes (though the transmission pulls it down to around 1100-1200 rpm at stop lights.) Had a guy tell me it's a vacuum leak, but I can't find anything leaking and the hvac works fine (move fast between zones, doesn't shift zones under load, etc) another guy says the iac may be dirty, any suggestions?

Vacuum leak would do that. Check the PCV valve and it's hoses and connections to the manifold. That is usually a larger hose, and can affect the idle that way.
