My son just called in ref. to Hot Shot Secret, they have fuel additive to clean injectors, oil additive and a transmission additive.
I've never heard of the stuff but thought someone may have used it or knows about it.
He's considering ordering it, he has a diesel like mine only crew cab.
Any help or suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks.
I know several people on this forum tried to exercise their "money back guarantee" and never got anything. I think the agreement is that it is snake oil.
The only stuff I've used was BG. You can find it at any Advance Stores. Its called 244K. More info at there website www.bgprod.com It DOES NOT have any lubing factors in it so you may want to add something to your fuel with it. Use the quart bottle then every six months get the 248. Its the system maintainer. In our stores its around $45 for the quart bottle. That stuff you only use once a year. It WILL clean up your system and everything it touches. Not tryin to sell anything for the company I work for. Just tryin to get the info out there for something that does work, and works very well. Its just a personal thing that I like and endorse myself. Im sure Clay has some stuff that works well. Give him a call too!
if you want to cleen your injectors out use sea foam the next time you change your fuel filter, fill the bowl up with it after you changed the filter and run it straigh, that stuff cleans the chit out of everything
Lot of people swear by Sea Foam based on huge cloud of smoke it blows from the engine.
Common understanding is that it burns the engine dirt, when the truth is that it is petroleum product and smokes on its own. I tried to use it for cleaning intake deposit on different diesel with no visible effect.
I don't add anything to my vehicles with the exception of diesel stabilizer on my motorhome.
Have gaser with over 120k miles from new in our family and diesels with over 200k, but I am not original owner of those. Never had problems with fuel systems on any of them.
California adds lot of cleaners to our fuels, but I am fueling up at cheapest stations that don't add Techrons, nitros or snake oils.
