I second the title!

Yesterday I had a pad like that get jammed in a rotor like that, causing the left front wheel to lock up. Dangerous stuff!

Even if you could find someone to turn them, they would be under spec for thickness. I have seen rotors explode because they had been turned and shouldnt have been.Thin rotors/drums will heat up and warp too. For what they cost, it is a no brainer. And dont skimp on the pad quality. In these days of lawyer litigation, you dont want to be rear ending anyone to save a few bucks on parts.

just got done putting on new OEM brake rotors and ceramic pads!

Yes!! :P new pads are going on the back next week.. these ceramic pads up front made a huge difference, it stops real quick and so far all the driving ive done is on wet roads!

Agree ... we have yearly safety inspections here in vVa. in a program administered by the State Police.

I can see it happening quick, vehicles now have ODrive and low wind drag so there's less wind and engine braking for the driver who just "drives". Pretty soon constant braking gets to behabit.

I punch that OD button out a lot on down hill grades or low speed sections.
