IPR Compatibility Question

I'm looking to replace my IPR, and I found one for a good price on 'the bay'. My concern is that the listing states that it is for a 94-95.5 model, and mine is a 97. I really think it's the same thing and don't understand why it says that, but I wanted to check with the gurus before I dropped a hundred smacks on a part that won't work for me. Thanks guys!

you will be wasting your money. i got a 95 and c00nhunterjoe has a 97. i needed to reoring mine but decided to just try and swap his spare out with mine. the truck would not start. the later models had a flared out end on them. kinda looked like a mushroom cloud from a nuke. the early models has just a straight cylinder look to the IPR's with no flare at all
