Ford Blue Paint for Engine?
Does anyone know where to find the exact match for the Blue paint under the hood on valve covers, etc?

I got mine from Napa. They had a few different shades of Ford Blue.

Plastikote #224 is the closest match to the original Ford corporate blue imo.

i got mine from autozone. the hightemp kind. but it was kind of worthless to paint the manifolds, burned off in a couple days, but maybe i didnt buy the highest high heat bottle.

I'm of the understanding the lighter "Ford blue" was used pre '66 and the darker "Ford corporate blue" was used '66-'81.

but the pic you posted of the engine a couple posts ago sure looks like the ford dark blue (which BTW I use because I prefer the dark over teh light by a huge margin)

Mann, that brings back memories from my childhood. Went with my dad to pick his new 77 up from the dealership and remember the salesman opening the hood and going over the different items. Looks just like your picture... Very well done!!!

It is the dark Ford blue (which i also prefer over the light Ford blue).
