I also noticed the color comes out a little different when you first spray it, compared when it drys. I like the dark blue it is period correct for our dents.

This is my 352 I used por-15 engine kit, Ford corporate blue. I am real happy with the way it came out. This pic doesn't do any justice. I got the timing chain cover and headers both ceramic coated. Don't know about black being a chevy color. I have a stock 223 in my 62' pretty sure they're black block, Ford red valve cover.
