on the outside i have an 83 ford bronco xlt. on the inside i have an eddie bower. i just want to know if its for real or not. i even have the eddie bower rear view mirrors. the outside is white with the red stripe but the inside looks eddie bower. how do i know if its for real or not?

 

If it says "bower", it's not real. The name is "Eddie Bauer". All EBs have a single outside body color except for a lower bodyside tan (or copperish) stripe and Broncos have a matching tan camper shell. Some vehicles have a tan pinstripe, and some of THOSE have "Eddie Bauer" in the pinstripe. All EB interiors are tan with "Eddie Bauer" embroidered on the seats & floormats, or with just the Eddie Bauer pine tree logo.

If your '83 has any "Eddie Bauer" parts, they've been added - it wasn't an option until '85 I think.

i know what collor its suposed to be but the guy i got it from repainted it and i dont know its original collors.

 

Either post the codes from the sticker in the door jamb, or send me an e-mail so I can attach a 330K Word document that explains them. Those codes tell the original colors & trim level of the truck.

 

Like steve83 said, if you have an '83, it's not an Eddie Bauer. They didn't come around until '86.
