No Cruise Control!

I just swapped my E4OD for a ZF5. Once finished, all worked well, except no cruise control.

I had my original PCM reflashed to a manual with a mild power upgrade by DP Tuners in Georgia, so the PCM should have all my options running.

Could it be a wire pulled loose when I took out the steering column in the swap? Or messed up the brake switch when reinstalling?

Any ideas or anybody have a good wiring diagram? The Haynes manual is worthless.

Do you have the clutch switch wired in ? if not the pcm might be reading the clutch as depressed, not allowing the cruise to kick in.

I think a brake light can interfere with the cruise control. Don't forget the 3rd light on the cab.

I hooked up the clutch switch with the connector that was hiding up under the dash and it is working properly.

Copedawg, do you mean the brake switch at the pedal or a bulb?

There is a switch at the pedal that will kick off the cruise.

The third brake light is the route around for the brakes.
I'm not sure why they ran that though the brake lights instead of the pedal, but oh well.
it looks for a ground in the brake system to disengage, and with the light is burned out, it cannot engage the system.

Are your back-up lights working? Though I have not found it in any wiring diagram yet, there have been a few guys online who have had CC problems and traced it to the reverse lights. I lost CC in my rig when I blew the fuse for the back-up lights.

Other likely spot is the pressure switch on the brake master cylinder, if it starts leaking internally it will prevent CC from working.
