I have an 05 EB with the diesel and recently the dash has started to buzz sometimes. It seems to be coming from around the radio. I thought it may be a loose CD but I removed it and it still buzzes. It has to do with the load on the engine. I drive it like my grandmother and put very little load on it. I accelerate slowly. When I give it some gas the buzzing goes away.
I'm thinking something is loose under the black plastic dash part. Any ideas?
Yes, go to your local Kragen, O'Reilly, AutoZone, and buy the tools. I tried the hanger way and as 87mh said it is not worth the anger, frustration, and the possibility of damaging the keeper springs.
The tools come with use instructions.
Once the radio is out you remove the screws as shown in the pictures and pull the dash trim towards you. Then, unplug the various plugs and set the trim asside.
The plugs can not be mixed up. They only attach to each other as designed.
