Back in the day I used to work at a Harley shop where we made several custom bikes. The wire we used on them was an aircraft grade wire, white in color, that had a kind of braided look to it. I am now preparing to start wiring on my Tunnelport project and would like to use the same stuff again.
Do any of you know where is a good source for it? What it is called?
Try Belden wire, Alpha wire or any of those also Allied Electronics, Newark Electronics sell wire they have Teflon (PTFE)EDPM and the wire I think you are looking for is TGGT its not cheap at all you may consider teflon or one of the high density polyurethanes also check McMaster-Carr, they are all on-line and one advantage to the catalogue people is they sell smaller quantities also look up a company called Dearborn/CDT they make specialty cable and wire. And if there is anyone around who does Aviation salvage you could salvage the harness from an aircraft, one advantage of the aviation/military grade stuff is the wire doesn't deteriorate like the old fashioned vinyl or butyl crap.
