Working on the 511 will have to wait for a few days. We woke up this AM to 30 degrees below zero. It's already -10 right now, just after dark. I'll tell ya, you can put somebody's eye out with your nipples when it's like this!
I hate this, because even if I run the space heater, which will warm up the garage in about 10 minutes, all the tools and stuff stay so cold you can't hold 'em. And god forbid you have to lay on the floor.
BRRRRRR!!! Not quite that cold here..around 0 this morning and warmed up to about 15 degrees. I don't have a space heater so I can agree on the tool thing, nothing like your hands sticking to the wrenches!!! The worst of it is, I was about a week from starting my '66 to move it into the shop!!
It rained today! Folks around here were wearing their ski parkas. I was wearing a short sleeved shirt. Too many years living in the midwest I suppose. Some time ago I figured out that the best thing that comes out of Nebraska (for me) is I-80.
Mid 20's around here during the day, and teens at night! Yowza.
Thank goodness for remote start LOL!! No room in garage for Escort.
Infared heat keeps it about 40 in garage(can't afford too much heat with prices double after this month!). Good enough to keep the frost off, but still a bit nip to lay on concrete for too long. About ready to put tranny back in race car...then start on Injection
I feel you scouder, -23 this morning, blew up my solenoid when I tried to start my truck, stupid old wiring, good thing the wifes car is new. How much snow do you normally get there? Once winter starts in montana, well, just hope you have your truck working beforehand, you know how it goes.
Typically around 2-3' on the flat ground. We've been in a drought for the past 8 years though, so we've been lucky to get 1 or 2'. I remember several years that I could go snowmobiling for miles without having to open a gate. Barbed wire fences all buried. Kind of a bugger when you accidentally find the top wire!
25 above and dropping here Brian. The great state of Texas is closed lol
This is about the worst I've seen in central Texas. It's low 20s with a lot of moisture. It's going to be a huge mess tomorrow.... Maybe not, this might be bad enough for everybody to actually stay home, like they should.
I'm serious. I've never seen a winter storm of this likes in central Texas. Ice was forming on stuff while the sun was still up. then the sun dropped and a rain/freezing rain storm came thru. It's a friggin' mess down here. We don;t know how to handle this stuff. I was at the grocery store in a t-shirt getting a box of fire-logs and a bottle of Cabernet..People looking at me funny for sure.
