powerstroke trivia

background for the last 3 years (80,000) miles after a long trip (over 100 miles) when I would stop at a stop light getting off the highway and at all stops until truck sat for a while it would run real rough.
also missing and sluggish on take off up to about 2000 rpm than was fine
short trips no problem! daily driving no problem!
oil changed every 5,000 miles, rotella synthetic since new.
I finally found the problem.
any one want to guess?

Mine does it too..when you tap the brake and the tc frees up, it runs like it has a huge load on it and it wants to shut off...idles real low then comes back up. I barely use my brakes at stops just to get around it. let me know what you find. Whats an IPR? And how do you tighten the nut?
