Hey guys I'm in the process of swapping the T18 out of my truck and putting in an E4OD and I ran into a problem... The flex plate on the E4OD has a way larger bolt pattern than the flywheel on the T18 did. What kind of flex plate should I be looking for? My truck is a 78 F150 with the 351M and the donor truck is a 90-97 F250 with the 460EFI in it. Thanks for any info.
Yeah the guy I bought it from said it was early 90's... turned out to be a 97. I've got the controller and the TPS sensor now I just ran into this problem. Hopefully this will be the only one.
a flex plate from a 351 infront of an e40d will probably work...if you got that flex plate off a 460 or 7.3 diesel they have a different crank. Im not positive, but the 351 crank bolt pattern is probably the same as the ones used infront of the e4od.
