Hey Everyone,
So the truck i recently bought has been progressing forward. I pulled up the carpet today for the surprise of my life, the po decided that it would be a good idea to fiberglass the floor that was in need of replacement! Crazy, and never thought i would find fiberglass out of all things. Go figure. Anyway, now it is time to replace the floor panels. I was wondering if there was a certain place that you would recommend more than others for floor panels or should we just make them ourselves... Now, i am a novice soo just keep that in mind!
if you do get replacement ones.. denis carpenter... i got ones from lmc that i just finished putting in and im not to happy with them. there thinner then origional and not exactly true and dont exactly go in.. took alota cutting welding and hammering to get them in right.
Ive heard of the tamco mentioned a few times.. Has anyone actually ordered them and got them? hows the quality and was there a lot of fab work needed to install them?
Almost every aftermarket floor pan is going to be thinner. I used LMC's, but then had the floor inside and underneath Rhino lined, so now it really doesn't matter how thin they were. If you want really good floor pans you could try finding a donor cab, however, most donor cabs have crappy pans as well.
haha wow when you said the fiberglass on the floor it took my back to memory lane..lol this sounds stupid but my buddy used to have a jeep cherrokee and he floors were gone in that and we put fiberglass down...although it was a mountain beat too lol!! thanks for takin me down memory lane!!...and im not sure but does NPD sell floor pans?
