Bed floor panels.

Does anybody know if there are vendors that sell complete bed floor replacement panels minus the under bed supports. I've seen half floor panels, but no full panels.

The one listed in LMC shows the full floor with supports under it. part number 49-9925-T under 500.00, I listed the part number for the 73-79 bed, others may be available.
Is there a reason you dont want to change the supports out?

Just a heads up on the full floor panel, it is only the center section(~4' x 8') between the rear wheel tubs that is included in LMC's Full Floor panel. If you need the floor sections in front or behind the wheel tubs along the bed sides, they are only included in the inner bed side panels as far as I can see. Does anyone know if anyone sells a patch panel for the floor sections near the besides for and aft of the wheel tubs?

National Parts Depot NPDLink.com has side sections. Looks like it will take some fabrication to get the fit right, but they have them. Download the body panell section of the catalog and you'll find it in the bed section. Hope this helps. It's the only side section panel that i know of, aside from getting a chunk from a scrap truck. Good luck

Ford part e5tz 9911215 B short
and f81z 9911215 AA long Hey they may have factory ones. $$$

When it come to needing the floor replaced I find its just as cheap or cheaper to get whole bed after cutting out fitting replaceing and paint work . Which the pros say 12 hrs according to body book. Ya right .

Your time is worth at least $20 hr and probably more. plus panel costs at LCM of $349 not including freight $107 +

But go for it hope you get r done and have a good time doing it. Good luck

I would love to know that too... I know you can get "rust free" beds, both flare and style sides from the south they are about $1500 per bed. Rust free is a loose term though, and doesn't mean dent free.

Where did you get those part number from Lostin90's?

427SOHC, the reason I was going to just replace the floor, and not the supports is because my supports are not damaged. My pickup had a tank mounted in the bed. It damaged the floor skin, but not the supports. I thought I could cut out the 4 by 8 section in the center, and replace it without replaceing the whole bed. There is no rust anywhere else on the bed, and the paint is is pretty good, so I don't want to swap the bed out.

Since we are on the subject, I know the bed floor is tacked to the supports. Are they tacked on every corrugation across the bed width, or only a few tacks across the bed?

If you look close you should be able to see the dimple where the spot welds were made, but you may need to clean the metal off in this area first.

i was thinking i'm not sure what year truck you have Kel but from 73-97 the inner beds were all the same. I'm sure you will be able to find a wrecked out truck with a good bed floor in it. Same with you Cujo, you'll be able to get the aft and fore flooring at a scrap yard prolly pretty easy. Just a thought.

I live in western NY where they kill automobiles with salt and there are not many rust free Ford parts around here. I went to a local scrap yard and asked if he had any fenders for a 73-79 Ford truck and he said all the good body parts they had were sold years ago.

I understand but you're talking about the inner bed sides for your 77 right? I think you have the 6 foot bed too... If you go to a junk yard and, for example, find a wrecked 1995 F-150 with a 6 foot bed the inner bed floor is exactly the same as your 77 inner bed floor and rear wheel tubs. You could buy the bed or cut a chunk out of it that you need. Probably cheaper then buying replacement metal and it will fit better too. Just a suggestion. If you check out
www.lmctruck.com you can look at the 1980-1996 catalog it shows the inner bed parts and they are the same as the 1973-1979 inner bed.

I live in north central PA and have lived in the southern tier of NY so i know what you mean about salt and rotten vehicles. Good luck with it.

Ditto what duke said. I find that it is much more economical to find a donor bed and cut patch panels for the damaged spots and carefully weld them in.
