I don't see a problem with that. We can trailer cars on trailer by just cargo straps now. I see semi's with loads that have cargo straps going over them to hold in place. I think as long as they are not fraying or saturated with grease and oils.

I actually believe that is legal, as long as the rating on the straps are rated strong enough for its part of the load.

Does look kinda funny though, but hey, get er done!
