fe starter interchange
I have a '64 passenger 352 engine with 58 ranchero standard bell housing and flywheel in my 60 f100. Looking to replace
the old style 3-bolt starter (64 back) with new style 3 bolt starter. Is this a bolt in swap or will I need to change the bell housing/flywheel combo?

fe starter interchange
FE flywheels from ’58-’64 are the same, 153 tooth. From ’65 (actually from 3/1/65) and on are 184 tooth. You will have to use the later flywheel with the later starter, sorry. I believe the old bell will still work though.
