Superchip scanner help

So i have a 1705 scanner that was working yesterday and today i went to change the tune back and when i plugged it in, it wouldn't come on. Tried it in a friends truck.. same deal doesnt turn on. Got my friends scanner plugged it into my truck and his popped right on and told me i was vin locked to the other scanner. Anyone else have their scanner just die on them overnight? Anyone ever try to open up one and fix it? The sticker on it says warranty void if broken but the thing is old and doesnt have a warranty now anyways i would think... plus i gotta pay to send it in anyways. Im calling SC on monday when they open up to see if its even possible to get it fixed without having to have my truck reflashed at the dealer so i can use the thing after it gets fixed.

Ideas anyone?

Maybe its time to get rid of that superchip. Don't know what could be wrong though. Just bought an '01 with a superchip, will be getting rid of that soon. There is no comparison to a Dp tuner hands down.
