I think we still have the paperwork/receipt for it-if anyone needs to know more....

The smart oriface tube is at Home Page of Cool Profit$ Magazine I think this is the one that was recomended by a member on the FTE many years ago, and I can testify as to how well it works!
wow that site is a mess!!!

do you have a more direct link?

In that AC system breakdown picture, where exactly is the orifice tube and what part number is listed as?

Order coming your way Ed, I finally saved up the coin to get my AC back together.

I ordered the Compressor, Condensor and dehydrator. The only reason I ordered the

condensor is mine has almost 300K on it and is looking pretty bad. I am going to take it

to a shop and have them install the parts. I will probably need a new orifice as well but

they are cheap so I can pick up one locally.

Wish me luck!!

Thanks ED, just in time for the heat!! I tracked the parts and I should have them today so on to phase 2, looking for a good shop to rebuild my AC.

Its not a bad job, but it will turn out better if the experts do it... I did mine a few years ago, my AC works, but not like my 97's... It would frezze you out of the cab!

thats kind of what I'm thinking, I want it done right and if it's not I want someone to point the finger at and make them fix it. If My truck wasn't my DD I would probably buy a cheap vacuum pump and give it a try but I think I would just rather work some overtime and stimulate the economy a little so that I can ride in comfort.

You have any recommendations for a local AC guy Joe?
