Has anyone tried Rotella T5? It's a synthetic blend available in 10w30. I've been using Rotella synthetic 5w40. I don't have the diesel supplemental owners manual, so I not sure what rates are recommended. I'm thinking 30 weight might be too low.
Based on the chart, how does the 5w-40 synthetic fall in there? I know most of you guys run it year round. According to the chart, it says to not use that weight over 30 degrees.
I remember from a previous oil thread that Ford now recognizes 5W-40 for a much wider temperature range than the owner's manual shows. I don't have a link for reference but the extended range was from -20 deg F to over 100 deg F.

There have been some recent threads stating that Ford has since changed their oil stategy. Could be since motorcraft now has a 5W40 of its own.
