Anything is fine to use, as long as it's not the orange can of death.

I don't reccommend anything but the FL1A Motorcraft.

And another vote for the FL-1-A Motorcraft Filter.

I also use motorcraft fuel and air filters as well.

Motocraft, which are made by Purolator work for me.

Bottom line is run what ever filter makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside (other than a Fram of course ).

Napa Gold's here. I've also heard to stay away from Penzoil. But, I've never used it, so take that for what it's worth. I also use a quart of Lucas with every oil treatment to provide more lubrication so my cam doesn't flaten out.

To change the subject slightly, you know not to use most automotive motor oil without a zinc additive or you will ruin your camshaft. Thats why a lot of folks are using Rotella T.
Hey, I didn't hear about it until I ruined two cams.
Don't take my word for it, ask you local engine builder or search on the internet.
They quietly took the zinc additive out of oils a couple of years ago because it was coating the catalytic converters and eventually stopping them up.

You guys will say I'm crazy but, cut open a Walmart Supertech. Then compare it to a K&N. You will be blown away.

That was exactly what I was thinking and why I use Lucas. I would use Rotella T, but only seen to find it in 15-40 and I would rather have 10-30. I also would like to use Valvoline synthetic VRI (which still has zinc), but again the only weight I can find around here is 20-50 and I don't have a race engine. I'd have to order 10-30. So Valvoline synthetic with a quart of Lucas additive will work.

This only applies to cheap new aftermarket cams.

Cool, I happen to have rotella t in mine. Not because I knew that, just because it was free. My worn out engine doesn't seem to mind 15-40.

I wouldn't say Comp Cams are that cheap, but who knows. I guess I'd rather be safe than sorry when I have an expensive motor.

Wal_mart "sometimes" carries Rotella 10w30, but your best bet is to find a Heavy Truck supplier as a lot of the newest Tier III diesels are specing 10w30 so are the new super duty trucks, the 6.0, 6.4 and 6.7 are all 10w30 for winter oil changes.
