I'm considering driving down for a couple days. I'll be going through Cincinnati. Hey, George, whatcha got planned for that weekend? Probably drive down Saturday morning and drive back Sunday. That would give me time to catch the cruise Saturday night and check out the trucks and vendors and hopefully meet some folks from FTE.

Hi Kevin,

I'd be glad to have you stop by. I hate to admit this but I'm still trying to find a way to get the $$$ together for the trip. If I can, maybe you wouldn't be too embarrassed to have a non-truck tag along since Earl is still in his underwear (so to speak)? We'll see. At any rate, you are always welcome here.

Please allow me to introduce myself. I am new to the site, so here it goes. My user name is bigbackwindow56, and I attend the F100 Supernationals every year. I usually arive on the Thusday before the show and stay at the Grand.

I have been involved with building 53-56 F100s for about fifteen years now. I have owned several over the years and have installed several IFS's including Mus.II's,Gibbons, and Volare's. I only use Ford drivetrains, and my current project is a black 56 bigbackwindow with a 351w/C-6/gear vendor OD/9".

I will try to post some new pictures soon.

See ya at the Nats!

Tim

If Earl is in his underwear, my truck is buck naked. I'm going as a groupie.

Welcome aboard. Stay tuned as we are going to get together at the 'nats.

George and Kevin

I am afraid I am going to have to report this violation to Grand Master RMF, unless he sees it for himself while conducting thread patrol tonight. You have been warned previously. We don't say underwear and naked here anymore. Don't make us tell you again.

I though underwear was OK but you couldn't say "briefs". Oops.

If you guys are going to keep changing the rules about underwear nomenclature I'd like you to form a committee to oversee the effort.

Hi Tim. In case you haven't noticed there are some ... um ... bizarre people on FTE. But they can't bite you over the Internet! Welcome aboard!

Earl & Kevin,

Earl – You should know better. This is your second official warning about your lack of clothing whilst participating in this forum. Go stand in the bad corner and think about what you’ve done. Next time, it’ll be beer and corn roast at your place for ALL of us.

Kevin,

You’re somewhat newer here so I’ll let you off with a warning. It’s probably not your fault, you probably didn’t read the rules of posting in this forum. You just fell in with the seedier element and were led astray. Earl does that – he lurks in the shadows waiting newer guys, then he takes them under his wing and tries to corrupt them into a kind of mini-me of himself. (Gawd, that’s a scary image!) .There are approx. 13 rules for posting in this forum – one of them is that you must be fully clothed while posting. We don’t go for none of that kinky stuff here. You want kinky, go to Iowa.

Later,

P.S. - 'fenders - Nobody likes a tattletale.

It's o.k. sir john. We understand how you hoity-toity professional author types can be a little quirky/excentric.

George however is another matter - I'm beginning to think he might have some issues. Deep, serious issues...

George, you don't hang around public laundromats in the evenings do you?

.................................................. ......

Well, the good news is that rather than being unemployed this friday, I've been extended until 4/30-5/07, or in terms that matter - 3 more pay cheques.

Bad news is that the extension is here in Ottawa, not N.J. (where the sewer meets the sea), so I can't wangle a side trip over to PF.

(although maybe 'fenders would consider that good news too.)

Darn! I really wanted to go, even as a rental car driving tourist...

Talking Pigeon Forge 2003

Hey Guys

I am a newbee to this forum and not to well healed in trucks. My wife and I have a 51 mostly restored (but not as well as some of yours sound) and are planning to be in Pigeon Forge on Friday & Saturday. Its only 80- miles for us as we live in Kingsport just off I-81. I would like to meet some of you guys and check out your ride. Is there going to be a get together at any place in particular
during the weekend.

Hi bthornton,

Welcome aboard! I think the consensus is that smaller groups will be making plans after arrival. I'm certainly not the social organizer so someone correct me if I'm mistaken. Since this is my first time to PF I'll probably just mingle and find out where folks bump into each other. Probably make arrangements for a meal on Friday or Saturday based on who I see.

Welcome and ditto what George said. A week or so before the event, hopefully most everyone will know their arrival dates and we'll set up a couple meeting times. Nobody is in charge here so we will probably wing it.

Check out our galleries and you will see that many of our projects are in very early stages. Share your PICs when you can. There is no best truck competition going on here. We have different goals, budgets and experience levels. All are welcome.

Earl & fenders

Thanks for the welcome. I will get pics up sometime in the next couple of weeks. Its a driver, I drive about 400 miles per week on an average as the airport I work out of is about is about 35 miles each way so it drives more than its worked on (I hope). Looking forward to seeing some of you guys work.

See ya there

Bill
