That's weird. My altered 2005 grille from MKM fit in perfect.
It still had 3/8" clearance between the bottom of the grille and the bumper.
Sheriff, Are those v10 emblems factory on your Ex?I like it,nice truck!
When I took my old grill out I could see where it had rubbed the bumper at one time? Don't know if the bumper was off before I had it or not? I know there is alot of movement for adjustment when its loosend up? If you have 3/8'' between yours then I think I need to drop my bumper more yet to get more clearance?

Yes, they are OEM Ford V-10 emblems. They did not come on Excursions, I added them.
And I placed them in the same location where some F250 trucks have them.
I would think 1/4" to 3/8" would appear normal on the bumper. I wouldn't want any more or any less.
Just ordered mine from MKM today. Just got done moving so am now able to get back on here and back to working on the Ex. I found that they are going for $319+ tax on the MKM site as opposed to the $345+ tax on E-Bay if that helps anyone

Got the mirrors on today. The bottom of the grille doesn't line up with the bumper but that's because my bumper is messed up and is getting replaced. One piece headlights get here tomorrow
Thanks guys, sorry I jumped the gun on replying...I didn't notice there was 3 pages to the thread.
Even though there has been previous threads about these conversions it's nice to have more. Seems each one adds a little something extra to help others out!
Just put the FabFour bumpers on the truck, now i want the 05 grill and head lights. Where can i find them for a good price and good quality? Really dont want to buy no china crap.
I actually think the 2003 SD truck grill looks better than the 2007 SD. I think I'll keep mine with the 2003 vintage truck grill. Heck I only paid $10 for it.
