I need to order this!! But I think my wife would kill me if I ordered it now!! lol. I ordered the '07 Harley Davidson headlights the other day, they should be here on Friday!!
I will be ordering the same thing, can you do me or anybody else thinking of doing this, a favor? If you can take some pictures or write some stuff down on how you installed them. I am sure it will be deeply appreciated
Hey Va, I think my Ex & you Ex are the same color, I wanted to ask you what does ford call that color & where did you get those rain guards? I know I hijacked my own thread. Sorry
I asked the same question re the black honeycomb as well - did it come with the grille? I don't have that on my X already, so it would need to come with any new grille. Looks good.
Yes, the honeycomb and Ford emblem are already in place and included on the grille when you purchase it.
It is simply an OEM Ford grille from MKM, trimmed about 3/4" at the bottom so as to fit pre-2005 models.
The rain guards are the Lund in-channel. I got them on eBaY.
My truck is Mineral Grey, color code TK. It was available on the 2003 to 2005 models I think.
I did the conversion grill on my 2000 as well. Mine was a little more tricky than just sticking it in.I had to loosen the bumper up and drop it just enough to make it fit?No big deal, just 4 bolts around the tow hooks and the 2 bolts that go to the frame behind the bumper. I priced all of the parts from Ford to do the complete conversion with the bumper and it was over $1100,00. I did find that LMC Truck now has all of the parts and brackets to do the complete conversion for alot less, and you would also need to have the top plastic bumper pad painted to match because they come primed.I think everything was around 800 from LMC? I also upgraded my headlights with Eagle Eyes and clear parking lamps from LMC, they bolt right in place of the stock ones.

That's weird. My altered 2005 grille from MKM fit in perfect.
It still had 3/8" clearance between the bottom of the grille and the bumper.
