Y Pipe ...?

So I am seeing everyone with Y pipes and Isee the Y pipe on 5 Star Tunnings website but it does not seem you can buy it alone ....so where can I buy it for my 99 ?

I'm kind of interested too. I'm running my old converters and fear they maybe getting clogged. But if you put a y- pipe on there your exhaust is going to get louder.

5 Star may sell the Y-pipe seperately, may want to ask. You can also get it here. SPD Performance

FYI the SPD y-pipes does not replace the cat.

No worries, WE can sell it alone.. just call us.. We will have to get it added as a stand alone part... Sorry about that..

You'll be very happy with the improved performance with the throtle responce. When I changed out my y-pipe the first thing I notiiced was the elimination of the 1-2 second hesitation of the trannie down shifting when you jumped on the gas. The truck has more power going up steep grades while towing the 10,000 lb 5th wheel. Increased the gas milage by 2 miles per gallon.

Awsome cant wait , the truck has 128k but still runs like a champ , has Intake , and a 3" short dual exhaust with no mufflers at all exits right at the frot of the bed , plugs and coils changed a year ago or so !

I also changed the gears from 3.73's to 4.30's. Changed the air filter to the Volant, which made a difference also.

You changed the filter or the whole intake pipe ?

I got a Mack intake which I guess was a ebay item ..was under $100 and hes done alright for the past 3 years and still been usig the same filter () I know , I know

Maybe I need to update the intake setup ?

Yes I changed the hole thing.....Art - Krewet has done an install procedure on how he did his truck.

I had the made a modification like a guy called Stan who cut the front off the stock housing and added a K&N filter which I did but it looked cheezzy.

I also cut 4 - 2" holes behind the side of the front grill to allow more air into the engine compartment area.

But the big change was the Volant system....(I'm not a sales men for them). I've been working on the least expensive up grades to get more power. This one was something like $230 or something like that. The filter is much like a K&N filter. Here's the thread link of my change..
