You can adjust the pedals tho, at least a little. About the center arm rest, I'll check mine tomorrow, but I can drive with either arm on the respective rest and they feel about the same...
When I was looking for a truck I knew I wanted a long bed and x cab long bed is just too long for me. But I'm comfortable in the reg cab at a little over 6 feet tall.
I also agree that a toolbox is a must with a regular cab truck. I thought about raising the seat, but the the door arm rest won't line up with the center arm rest.
Tool boxes are all well and good if you don't need your whole truck bed... I make due with the space behind my seat(and under it!), and if I know I'll need something big, and won't have a passenger, that gives me a lot of room!
I'm 6'6", 240 lbs and this is the first vehicle I've had where there is enough head and legroom. Some of that is the extended cab. Unfortunately, I have three boys who are going to be the same size, so a crewcab is in the near future.
I love that this is the first vehicle I've had that doesn't give me a noogie while I'm driving.
I used to have a old Ford Courier PU................let me tell you about "small" cabs, you cold reach over with NO effort and roll the pass. window up or down, I went over a bump once and hit my head on the cab ceiling, most of the time, the back of your head was touching the rear window of the cab. I moved up to a Ranger, and it felt like I was going to a F-250!............I still judge cab room by this unfortunate experience, a reg. cab F- series seems quite big enough to me!
When your knees can go another 6" forward that makes a huge difference
I see what your saying, but if the floor board stops in the same place and the pedals are in the same place then you can't extend your legs out any farther. I just with it was a couple more inches to the pedals so my leg could be straighter.
Fair enough. I'm a hauler, I guess you're a puller?
Used to be, now with all the hotshot trucks running around and the DOT goons chasing after everything with a dually axle she's just my weekly (not even daily) driver to the parts store, Walmart, and every now and then the movies.

And here I am scheming on how to install a big-truck throttle pedal in my 1-ton so it's just my foot that barely moves while my leg stays more upright...
I'm 6'1 and 250 lbs, always had enough room in my reg cab 250. I don't ride on the passenger side but haven't had any complaints. Kids are all grown up so thats not an issue. Always thought the regular cabs were the best looking truck.
