And there's no law requiring fog lights off with high beams on a two headlight system. You couldn't do it on a 4 headlight system in most states because then you'ld have 6 lights on at the front for general illumination at one time. Limit is 4.
Reason manufacturers set fog lamps to only come on with low beam even on a two headlamp system ... is because in fog, you want low beams on anyway to minimize reflected light bouncing back and blinding you. Fog is thinnest nearest the ground, which is why you see wide pattern fog lamps mounted ...

But for those who know fog lamps do help as long as low beams are used in fog, and who know to turn the high beams off in fog ...
... good mod for fill light along country roads with deer and bear and elk and moose!
Ryan,
I did the relay mod not the switch. I was simply saying that mine has been this way for a LOOOOOONG time with no issues. It doesn't even take 12" of wire!

speaking of driving lights .... 2005 f150 with factory driving lights. both drivers and passengers side show heavy condensation inside. my husband pulled them off today and found a large amount of water in each one. he's replaced a shattered bulb in one of them a while back. is there a way to take the protective cover off to reseal it to the housing? there are tabs top and bottom but we cant seem to get them to let loose. thank you for any help.
