It shouldn't matter 'cause you dim your lights when oncomming traffic is present.
Really? I mean, REALLY?? Up here, and I'm actually thinking of keeping a record so I can be more accurate, 83.6% of the time, you have to tell the idiot to turn them down. I'm to the pointe when a damn fourwheeler is blinding me, I just give he/she/it my highbeams until they get the message. And then it doesn't always work.
I'm pretty sure that I previously read before that the bambi mod isn't possible on a 2009+ due to the smart box controlling everything now. I do a lot of night/early morning long distance driving myself and I'd take anything that helps give me better visibility. I'm actually thinking about a push bar with driving lights on it. I need to run that past my State Trooper Sergeant buddy first though. No need to draw additional, unwanted attention from the police.
Yes there is a fix. Go to MrTaillight.com. Order the Kit for 2004 Ford 150 and up. Now don't follow the first part of the directions that tell you to hook to the headlight. Hook it to the side marker light instead. This will leave the fogs on all the time the parking lights are on. This bypasses the highbeam/fog light kick out. I have done this to a bunch of Fords and GMs.
The other thing I do that is separate is to program the daytime running lights. The dealer can do this in 5 minutes. For all standard headlights they come on at a lower power. For the HIDs equiped it turns on the amber lights.
