Brake lines material is fairly cheap, unless they are pre bent,labor is costly part.

I was planning on the pre-bent OE Ford parts, and it's only gonna be 10 years next December it was built. It sat for 5 months on the dealer lot before it went into service, was garage kept until I bought it in July 08.

mild steel doesn't like salt very much. Lately I have been buying the coated lines, I bend my own, to hopefully get longer life out of them. May be a waste of money because when the coating gets scratched it is back to bare metal. Usually when I do a line job it ends up being a brake job because the bleeders are rusted shut or the line nut won't unscrew from the caliper/ wheel cylinder.

Good rainy evening all, went to work in the dark this mourning; which came rather early I think! But on the bright side, going home with the light still up. Jim my place of entrapment is still looking for a millright/machinest, if you know any. Its in the Caladonian record now, seems they want some fresh blood in here!
