Hey Jim;
Tell me about, wish I knew how to be a metal smith, then i would apply for the day job here! Not sure how much inlaws have made yet, not sure of grade either. I know wifes cousin likes his heavy and dark! They usually boil about every other year, its just for the family's. I want to say the last time they boiled, it came out to about 200 gallons.
Ive heard the price of syurp this year is up there...30 to 45 a gal?

$30 a gallon would be cheap, closer to $45 is the going rate. Hopefully the sugar season is good to keep from driving the price up. Looking at the extended forecast looks like highs low 40's lows mid 20's. I am kind of thinking of tapping a few to try and make a couple of gallons but would need to find some buckets.
