driving down the rd going fine then it just runs out of gas i been cooling the fuel pump down and puting gas in the throat ofthecarb fire it up and it gets gas to the carb i pulled the line of the carb last time and somevaporcame out but no gas
i did a search the other day for vapor lock and found some other one that sounded just like my story now i cant find it but they put the electric pump on and that did the trick thats why i was thinking that rout right now im tired of geting stranded lol
when it does it, you need to unhook the fuel line after the fuel pump, and crank it, to see if any gas comes out. if not, bad pump, or vapor lock, or screen in tank id full of something. once it sits for a while, everything relaxes, and it allows gas through. when you put gas in the carb to fire it, it creats a vacume off the seat and it opens. my bet is on rebuilding the carb, I think it is blocking off the carb, the fuel pump is trying to pump, and heating up trying to do so, which causes a temporary vapor lock. I only say all this, because I went through it with my mustang, and it took me 2 years to figgure it out
