I'd put another carb on it.... you might be surprised. If no DEMAND, there may NOT be any pressure....You went from a mechanical to an electric with the same result. Todays gas will just EAT UP yesterdays rubber hoses and parts. Gaskets, etc.

Doing pretty good Kathy, thanks..... Been on here longer today than any day since the surgery and feel no bad things --- FINALLY! That eye is still a little blurry, but expected.
