Well right now i have not replaced anything,my pedal is bad again, codes 122 and 221.I don't want to sound stupid, but i'm not real good with diesels,i have allways owened gas powered vehicles. My last truck was a F350 V10,no comparison to the diesal though. For now i have to wait for my pedal to come in,it is on order.
Bought the first pedal from Napa,it is a life time pedal,so that is what i got again. All the problems went away,it's fine for now.Ford is being taken to court about the pedal,if it can be taken care of that way,i will get a pedal that way.If not,i will buy a Ford pedal.Bye the way thanks telling me who to buy it from.
Well with the new pedal the truck ran fine.New problem,i hooked my trailer up to my truck, once it started missing bad with pure black smoke for about 30 seconds, the egt was about 950.It didn't do that again,it ran fine,it kept the check engine light on till i was on the highway, but ran fan fine.It had a PO603 code and P1211 code that said is unknown.I run a Gryphon Programmer, that i had set on tow mode.
IIRC, P0603 is because of your programmer and P1211 is ICP above or below desired pressure a.k.a. your HPOP can't keep the pressure up with what the programmer is calling for. Its common with higher power tunes that require lots of oil to run.
I have had the same issue several times. It turns out that there is a pick up foot in the tank that has a long tube that is part of the assembly. The problem most likely is a rubber diaphragm on the tube, orange in color. It weakens over time and needs to be replaced. Think of it as a anti siphon device. You have to drop the tank to get to it, not an easy task. After dropping my tank twice I found the problem. Hope this helps.
