Has anyone had the problem of the truck having no throttle,my truck won't move.It is a 2002 PowerStroke, running but won't move, but not all the the time, with engine light, have no one to check to see what the code is.
these truck are fly by wire..there is a switch on the go peddle that gets dirty or worn out...try cleaning it first..if that dont work you will need a new switch....
TPS throttle position sensor- I have had problems with mine a couple times. You can change the whole throttle pedal (expensive) or just the tps (it unscrews from the throttle pedal with 2 "star" screws). I've bought them on ebay for $15.00, and it shows the same one for the F150's also.
Also check your fuse's. I had the sample problem and turned out to be a fuse, Good luck.
What he said. I beleive it was fuse #13 under the dash. You can tell if it is the fuse tho by the amount of lights on the dash when you start it. No Wait TO Start, and dash gauges won't work.
This what the pedal looks like. The Smaller switch with red is the idle validation switch. You may be able to get them going with some contact cleaner or something similar
What turned out being the problem? We love hearing what it took to fix the problem. Nothing's worse then reading through a thread only to have it dead end without a solution.
So far i lubricated the switch,so i'll have to drive it.The only problem i drove it earlier and it did not screw up!I will be getting back to you to tell you if the cleaning and lube fixes it or a new TPS switch.
I know i haven't got back, bine having problems with everything i drive. Sorry! As far as my pedal goes, the cleaning and lubrication didn't work. So i bought a pedal assembly, from Napa,it lasted a month.I took it back got another,it failled, got the code, time for a new pedal again. The truck ran really bad right after the pedal came back also, and still had the same code.Got another pedal,it does the samething, same code.I have went over all the wireing, checked the plug and the wires on the left inner fender.Any Ideas?

I have tried that, forgot to tell you guys that. One other thing,it seems to happen when the truck gets to around a quarter of a tank of fuel. The wife allways hates to put fuel in it.Could there be a sensore in the tank that could do this.A couple of times the low fuel light came on too.I would get it to the station, pain in the ***,put fuel in it and it would still have to sit for a little bit to get to work again. But this is not all the time
The first code PO123 Accelerater pedal sensor circuit hight imput. After i kept hitting the pedal to try to get it to work it came up with PO221, Throttle switch b circuit PERFORMANCE!It worked after about 20 minutes.
