oil- i use rotella or napa brand. while the honda has no real preference, i've found (the hard way) that price tends to reflect quality when it comes to my baby. she has expensive taste! lol
man i know i had bo but you guys didnt have to leave i swear ill shower
karl did you get that last
lollers. Yeah I got the last.
For your dieshole, I run the Rotella 15w40. No oil problems in the 112k miles I have on the truck. Not saying that I haven't had problems with injectors, branch tubes, timing covers, and egr coolers though...
As for your others, what all are you changing the oil on? What's the recommended grade and type? Some of these newer autos recommend synthetics, some synthetic blends, and some just plain old dyno. I run the mobil 1 stuff in my 150, and let my wife take her minivan to Jiffy lube for their dyno (Penzioil, I think)
jiffy for everything else i have 5 cars and trucks it would cost a fortune if i did the deisels there i think i'm going to go with rotella but 5w or 15 just had injectors changed put 70hp in
go with the 15w40, it's geting to be summer and them things run HOT!
If you are going to do the oil yourself on the others, just get either Mobil1 or Penzoil in whatever grades the particular auto recommends. Also, stay away from the FRAM filters, the paper element is known to fail causing the filter to go into bypass, essentially like you have no filter at all. For the fords, I've never had a problem with the Motorcraft filters, for your others, might as well go with Delco or Wix.
Check Fredericksburg Auto parts for the Wix filters if you want to run them, for the diesel, just get the ford filter and call it good.
Morning VA. I use synthetic in the cars, Usually Penzoil in the trucks. My 86 is getting so tired I run 20w-50. Rotella in my back hoe diesel. Ditto on NG fram filters. There has been a lot of research on the crown vic site on oil filters and oil. Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis, Marauder, and Towncar

been running fram on my vehicles for the last 10 years and never had an issue with them breaking apart... and dad has been running them on his since he started... never been an issue... if we cant find fram we go with a/c delco... if we find both its which ever cheaper... and most our vehicles all have over 100K miles on them... my truck has 165K miles on it... dads newest trucks pushing 90... buicks around 150K... and suburban i know has over 200K on it..
granted my stang is getting motorcraft... but is mainly cuz i wanna keep it with ford parts... which have been told motorcraft and napa gold filters are both made on the wix design... napa golds rumored to actually be a re-labeled wix brand really...
and i know my truck punishes its filters with as hot as it runs... summers im constantly in 220-230* mark for the engine temp.. way hotter than most engines out there run...
