Wow what a great couple of teams and what a great game.
Funny with these Olympics I think there will be a large number of Americans that will no longer think Canada is covered in SNOW 12 months of the year and that we all live in Igloos
I watched a bit of the NBC sign off part of their broadcast and I must say I was very happy with the final words of one of the broadcasters he said and I Quote.
"You have to love Canada and Hockey and we've done both during our Olympics visit to BC"
Maybe not word for word but pretty close to it for sure.
It sure was a great game yesterday! And you gotta love the people driving around town waving flags and honking too. I drove through town last night with the kids, honking at those who had flags, and the kids got to wave their flags that we got during the torch run.
An amazing effort by all Canadians! We came very close to winning a few more Gold as well.
BUT, I got ask who designed the Potato Chip Olympic medal?? different yes, but not in a good way.
Proud of all the Canadians who not only participated but also worked hard and making the games a success. As for the girls having a good time, why not..all other sports celebrate..at least no turned over cars and rioting when they won.
It was a good Olympic Games and there were plenty of examples of good sportsmanship from all sides. We can all be proud of our athletes for their hard work and determination. There will always be somebody to say something negative, that's just life. I am really looking forward to the next winter Olympics, There is going to be some fierce competition in Russia..Those Russians are gonna try real hard to win at home, its going to be a lot of fun..
I was watching Access Hollywood last night since it's the only channel I get up at the cottage and I think they said it best... something along the lines of.... I'm Glad Canada won the hockey game it's very important to them i mean It's on the back of their $5 bill!
