Saved my *** a few times.
Heck, just last night I was talking with my friend and we were talking about all we had hit, and he said he'd bumped a few cow, hit 5 deer, and clipped a carpulling into a parking spot. Other than some paint scraped off, youd' never know.
Same with my brush guard but I haven't hit any deer yet.

My personal preference is Reunel Extreme Heavy Duty Bumpers
20K rated rear bumper and rear winch option too. don't know if they are any cheaper but you get more for your money
