.....this gets asked every week. There is even a thread on this page. Just scroll down. This should give you a general idea. Then let us know if you have any more specific questions.....
i will proably get crucified for this but....... Look for a 3/4 ton international 4x4 frame and put your Ford body on it. the Intl WB is about 131 inches
find a highboy 4x4 with a 205 transfercase, and use that suspension. The front spring support will go on your frame, and just measure and make everything square. thats how my frame was done, and then the crossmember was cut out that runs under the engine. I also converted to the later intergral power steering. And a dana 60 front. Mine is a 79 crewcab longbed f-350 2wd frame, that is now a 4x4 dually. Sorry, don't have any pics right now of it.
hey if you are looking for "anything" concerning early 73-79 ford 4x4 trucks, there is a guy here in Southern Indiana that has everything (100+ trucks). He probably has everything that you would need. ( also, he has a F350 4x4 with a diesel-cummins-sweet ride). His name is Larry Smith (outback 4x4) 812-277-6468. ( his collection includes everything-it truly does). Good dude!
