transfer case motor not getting power

I had to run the gauntlet of @#$% to fix mine a couple years back. Replaced relays, the switch, and the shift motor twice.
My problem ended up being the oem connector on the harness would only fit and electrically work if i took the little servo thing off the oem shift motor and put it on the new shift motor.
I do know the gem is involved in this, not sure if it can lock the user out because of a code. I think it is very possible. I went to the dealer and had them clear all the shift case motor codes a couple times throughout this deal, mainly for trouble shooting but it may be able to lock you out. The little servo component tells the gem what position the trans case is in to allow power to the dash switch i believe is how it works.
