Don't waste your time Don. People like this think "beating the hell" out a truck with 1/2 ton axles and 44's are talking about climbing the speed bumps at the local mall.
But on a serious note, 4.56's would be overkill for 44's. Somewhere around 2.80- to as low as 3.55 would be perfect and get somewhere in the neighborhood of 17-19 mpg.
i know what beating the hell is, where i live there is huge trucks that run around all the time.
why so high of a gear ratio? im not looking for good mpg's
I did see a ranger running around here with 44's and the stock axles. He had a 302 swap in it and flogged it off road quite a bit, so the D44 ttb should be fine for your needs. As for the rear, if you can't get new springs, try looking for some interlocking bricks. They work in a pinch
Now for the body lift, they can be quite expensive, so head down to your local sporting good store and get a bag of hockey pucks. Stack 3 together by using some gorilla glue, then drill the center for a longer body bolt. If you are anywhere near Florida, theirs some douchebag down there with a big underpowered lawn orniment that has a body lift he might be pulling off his, so you can see if he'll sell it to you cheap.
are you being sarcastic? i would like to do it right, so im going to use a real block lift and body....i am located in FL where would i find this body lift?

I say run a 14.69 ratio might be tricky to find, but there out there, its a pefect gear match for your rig...
I dont think 600 horses will be enough, a nitrous setup is likely in your future.
Have you thought about cutting the boggers?
Its for weight saving so you can spin them faster, leave the big lugs cut the small ones out.
Lockers is also a good idea for your build, lincoln makes top notch ones.
Interlocking bricks is the best lift todate... Way ahead of todays technologies....
