utility bumper
anybody no why Ford put this sq. tubing on utility bumper bracket

Are the holes 5/8th-inch ID???? Maybe for attaching the safety chains with additional hitch pins?

Camper? Seems like the SCS had something odd in the back end for that.

Howitzer stabilizer...yea, thats it.

Not sure myself about the square tubing. Maybe a PO welded that on there for a specific purpose. I just installed my bumper with a NOS kit I found on flea-bay. Neither bracket has it.

The diagram Rich made up Ford Truck info at top of page,sequence 2 shows rear bumpers and the sq tubing is there.Hickory were the tag lights and pig tail readily available?

They came in the kit along with all the bolts to mount the bumper.

Yea, I lucked into that one. I've seen the tag lights go for what I paid for the whole shebang. Came out of Canada from a guy who's uncle had a dealership there I guess. Every blind squirrel finds an acorn once in a while. lol
