From what i have seen on other trucks, there appears to be a green backlight on the odometer/compass screen on these pickups. Mine is not functioning. It almost appears to be similar to an old "indiglow" watch i had 10-15 years ago. Anyhow, if you are in the know on these, please give me a few pointers as to how to repair the backlight.
Yeap, I have the same thing with my '06. According to the Haynes manual it's just a nice, innocent, inexpensive lil bulb that needs to be replaced. Unfortunately, it appears that much of the drivers side dashboard needs to be dissasembled/removed in order to get to that pesky lil bulb so I'm probably going to just bring my truck back to the dealership where I bought it a few weeks ago and make them replace it for free.
I had to replace mine in my 07 LWB.Someone on this site posted a easy procedure to replace the lamp. After stressing over tearing the Dash apart on a new truck(at least to me) it wound up being a 20 minute operation.
Search my past posts, and youll probably find the thread.
If you cant,PM me,and Ill walk you through it.
