The cargo lamp used on 1967/72 F100/350's is the same as the backup lamps used on 1964/65 Thunderbirds.
Thanks Bill,
I don't see any of the part numbers above on the switch, bezel or ****. The bezel has a number visible on the back: c8tb-10852-a. There is a paper sticker that says '409' in big font, then below '26-632' on the switch body. Other than that, on the other side, embossed on the metal it says 'Model no 102 YIG'.
If you have a cargo light, I think it's kind of cool that it illuminates red. I know on mine, it's quite obvious if it's on w/o looking in the bed area.
I wish I had a light like that for when my parking break is on!

I had a thread about that. I guess there's a rare option for that, but I have no details on it. I've thought about trying to fab a door switch onto the e-brake bracket, and wire it into the useless little red light that's supposed to warn me if the brakes are going to fail (as if the pedal going to the floor wouldn't be warning enough!!!!!)...
I just realized that I spelled brake as "break"! Good thing my wife is a teacher!
Anyways, I am going to try to retrofit something from a later year because I would like to have some kind of indicator. I was thinking about trying to tie it into the existing brake light on the left side of the dash. Don't know if anyone else has done it, but it doesn't seem like it should be too difficult - imaginate and fabricate.

There is a park brake warning light set-up on the full size mid sixties Fords and Mercs that will work on our trucks. I pulled one off a Parklane last year. It consists of the power feed wire, a grounding clip/lever that screws on to the ebrake bracket, wire from there to light and the light/housing itself which fits in the regular brake warning hole. Very simple to hook up and effective.
