05-F150 question
Having some things happening...
The first one is when the temp is below 30, the truck whistles. It doesn’t do it all of the time - just mid-speed.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com

The second is that the truck is starting to have a knock noise in the engine. Is this something ford is fixing? The truck is still under warranty so I would like to get it fixed before it runs out.
Thank for your input.<o

My bet would be the whine is from the alternator. I had the same problem with my 2002. I checked the amperage output myself, and also had a shop check it and the alt was working really well, it just had a whine. Moral of the story: your alternator is probably working fine, its just making an annoying noise. My whine went away in warmer weather so I just left it.
in cold weather I had the same whistle only while driving. turned out to be a leak in the third brake light. the gasket had a problem with it and would shrink in the cold weather. the gap would whistle while moving. easy fix , if that is the problem
Is your knocking loud enough to here in the cab. I have a 05' 5.4 and when it gets warmed up it sounds like a Diesel F250/350. I went to the dealer to have them look at it and they said it was normal for f-150's 04-09. What a crock.
