Visiting from the Excursion forum - part question

Hey Everyone,

I am looking for a part for my 2002 Excursion and was wondering if it crossed over to the F250/F350 world. On the passenger door panel of my Ex, there is a plastic lens that covers a bulb. It is about 2/3 clear and 1/3 red (I htink the red is a reflector).

I called the dealer yesterday to get a new one (mine is missing) and he said that from '03 on, they went to a solid red lens and that the one I was looking for is discontinued. I was wondering if the F250/F350 trucks had the clear/red lens in the '02 and older trucks. I have to go to a wrecker to find this so I just want to see if I can broaden my search to include the trucks as well.

If anyone has one laying around I will gladly buy it off them too.

Yeah, I bought those from Ed a year or so ago, when I added courtesy lights to my doors.

Part number is 1C3Z13731AA

I would like to put the lights in the doors of my wife's x, is the wiring in there for them do you know? Ex is in the sig.

I just dealt with Ed for most of the morning/afternoon. I have to say, what a top notch guy! He confirmed that the part that Jason showed a picture of above is no longer available (the red/clear). However, he did find a couple of dealers who still had some in stock so he was able to get me one (for a higher price due to shipping etc, but I want it to match). He also helpd me to sort out a new power outlet for the dash.

If you need an awesome parts guy, this man is the guy to go to. Incredible customer service and prices.
