Do You Like?
I picked up an extra grille and headlight bezels from the junkyard for $20 and decided to paint them flat black and see how they look in my truck. i FINALLY put them in today so what do you think? Like? Not like?

i like it. i did that with my 76 too. i think you should find somethin to accent the black grille though, like white penstripin, or a piece of billet mesh behind it. thatd be tight!

I like the black look it looks great. I would like to see a chrome tipped one painted black instead of argent. think it would really set it off. When i get new inserts on mine i think im gunna go body color. Looks good tho

I did the exact same thing to my '78 (round headlights). I have a black tube bumper on mine too though. I also plan on blacking out all the lights. I think if you put a mesh behind it like suggested it may look ricey. I'd leave it the way you have it. Looks mean!

I like it! I did pretty much the same thing except I left the chrome on the front of the grill unpainted and painted the rest high gloss black. The old plastic chrome was so faded and wore it looked horriable.

Sorry for no response guys I worked all day today. BUT I finally got it licensed and insured and got to drive it to work then to my house, can't wait till thursday my next day off. Its kinda tricky to steer with the play in the wheel but its fun as hell.
Yea the more I see it The more I like it. Ill get some more pics up soon I took another picture today its hard to see the grill, i kinda have to look at the screen from an angle to see it.

Ill be updating this thread as I go. I will be putting the rims and tires in that threads on it very soon. The tires on it now are 205/75/15s and they look like donuts lol.

I like the black grill. I painted my grills black too, and I think it looks cool with the silver aluminum radiator behind them.
Back in the day when I used to drive my truck in high school I wanted some of those rims so bad, but I never got them. They're gonna look good on there.
