Power steering hose problem

Slight leak on the power steering hose on my 1992 F350 7.3. I wiggled the pressure side hose and the hydraulic line wobbled around inside the nut. i took it apart and the nut is not seating the hydraulic fitting properly. The threaded section on the pump is deeper than the threaded nut so the nut never threads in far enough to seat the hydraulic line properly, so it leaks in between the hydraulic line and nut. i placed 4 washers within the female portion of the pump (hoping to accomodate the space) but the hydraulic line is still loose. Seems like I maybe missing something here. Has anyone had this problem? If so how'd you resolve the issue?

Has this always been leaking or have you changed the pump or hose recently.

Is the o ring on the hose. I had the same problem with mine and the o ring slipped off had to go to the dealer and get a new hose and that fixed the problem.

I just bought the truck three weeks ago, but neither the pump nor the hose look to be a recent repair.

I was thinking there maybe a o ring inside the nut assembly but I could not push the hose out of the nut to check. It sounds to me like that o ring is shot and needs to be replaced. Is the o ring a difficult item to find?? Does it need to be any special material, I think ATF fluid is pretty aggressive. I really do not want to have to replace this hose for the sake of a .50 o ring. thanks for your replies.

Most I've replaced the o-ring goes on the tip of the pressure line.

You can see here the new line comes with the o-rings.
